Chips in Orange

This was my first time ever at a Chip’s restaurant. I knew I had to get pancakes, but the menu doesn’t make it easy to choose. There were so many varieties, so just getting a plain batch wasn’t even an option. I finally settled on the white chocolate macadamia nuts to accompany my 2/2/2 scrambled egg platter. Well baby, let me tell you, these pancakes were soft and appeared buttery; I don’t know. However, what I do know is, I did not use the syrup or butter given. The pancakes were sprinkled with nuts. Each bite was like a taste of heaven as is melted in my mouth. Oh, the other part of the meal. While the pancakes filled me up, I sampled the eggs, sausage links, crisp bacon, home fries, and buttered rye toast. It was fine, but those pancakes!!!! The only reason it’s not a 5 is because my virgin mimosa came in the regular cup rather than cocktail glassware.

A nice little mom and pop chain here in the Connecticut area. The packages are the real standouts here and everything else is mostly on the level of diner food. It's not bad, it's also not worth writing home about. The breakfast options and quality, however, speak for themselves when you show up early and the line is still wrapped around the building. It's obvious it's worth the wait. The best takeaway here? Great breakfast, creative options and above all else, affordable beyond compare.

Chip’s is family dining at its best, and when it comes to the best breakfast, this is how it’s done. They provide an extremely safe, clean atmosphere for their customers all while providing a friendly, detail-oriented staff. If you haven’t checked this place out, add it to your calendar... you won’t be disappointed.

This was on our way, food is amazing. Experience is horrendous,Managers don't seem to help new people at all while they mess up like crazy.The older owner with a thick accent was just spotted eating food over the PREP AREA WITHOUT A MASK ON. Yummy. His saliva all over everyone's food!

I’ve never been so sad to not finish food. Everything was well cooked and hot. A vegetarian skillet was a nice surprise for my husband who doesn’t eat meat. Also, staff is warm and friendly. Have the Cinnabon pancakes!

Always a great experience at Chips. Food is fast and hot. Servers all do their job well. Managers are attentive and happy help out when the tables fill up. Pricing is a bit on the high side for a diner-like experience, but the extensive menu and service make up for that.

Small size pancakes , not sure what the hype was about, no paper menu, must scan a QR code with a smart phone to see menu, all around disappointment.

Excellent menu and food. From breakfast to sandwiches to meals. The prices are reasonable and I thought they did a good job with separation, also using outdoor tables and they cleaned the tables . Good service. About a 15 min wait for lunch.

I expected solid diner fare but the pancakes here were outright exceptional — definitely will be back whenever I’m in the area. My wife loved the 2x2x2x2 as well, everything made to order just as she wanted. Great following COVID protocols and outdoor seating was comfortable with umbrellas to stave off the sun, well over 6’ from other patrons. We came at peak time (11am on a Sunday) and the wait was short (10 mins or so). Service a little rushed but I’m A-Ok with that given how quick everything was out.

I wish I could give that place zero stars. If you like to eat inside a Porta-John - that's your place. I've never seen so many flies in a restaurant. It was disgusting. I had to look under the table - I thought maybe I would find a sewer hole. The pancakes were good, however my skillet was boiled. I had to put a lot of hot sauce on it to get any taste/flavor. I am not coming back there (or any other locations of Chip's) and I do not recommend that place. What a joke!

Stopped in during a drive through college visit. Still only outdoor seating allowed but it's a nice setup. Friendly and quick service, good food and reasonable priced.

Food is good. Stopped for lunch. Outdoor set up is comfortable. Service was horrible. The few tables our waitress had proved too much. Waited forever for a napkin so I could begin eating. Ketchup...waited. Just getting a menu to begin with was a chore. Bring your own napkins, condiments and order ahead..unless you have ALL day.

We dined in because it was hot outside. The carpet smelled moldy and the ceiling had huge water spots. We waited 45 minutes and the place was packed so they are not hurting for money to clean and do renovations. The plating of the food was messy and could have looked more presentable. The food was mediocre, the pancakes were good.While the restaurants were closed Chip's should have done some updates being that they were always busy and should have had the funds to do so.

the best pancake places around. They know the blueberry pancakes have blueberries inside of the pancakes and not just on top of them. Which sounds easy enough to you would he was surprised how many places have it backwards and only put the blueberries on top of their blueberry pancakes. breakfast foods are good and plentiful. There is a big breakfast option that gives you both pancakes and eggs. But the pancakes are the important thing here. Along with the friendly service

I like here Wonderful atmosphere Smiling staff I came with one of my friend here It was my first experience We ordered California and Caroline Benedict Mine is delicious I didn’t taste Caroline maybe next time :) Thanks for the service By the way Vermont maple syrup was unbelievable you should definitely try it Have a wonderful week

The food was good. Added new items and took some of my favorites off since I last been there. A little pricey though
